I am very happy to announce that the PCOMS outcome measure, the Outcomes Rating Scale is now validated in Chinese. I have been in contact with SHE Zhuang for over a year and was recently notified that the validation study was published in the Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology. SHE Zhuang is also conducting an RCT in China. More on that when it is complete. If you are interested in seeing the article (in Chinese), email me and I'll send it to you. The study found similar results to others. High alpha reliability, concurrent validity (.60) with the OQ45, sensitivity to change, and construct validity re distinguishing a clinical from an non-clinical population.
This is particularly exciting because I will be going to China (with Project Leaders Bob Bohanske and Jacqueline Sparks) to present PCOMS at conference. See this month's blog.
The "PCOMS at a Glance " handout has been revised. It is a great introduction to PCOMS and its advantages. Many give this to funders and policy makers. And thanks to Certified Trainer, Morten Anker, the PCOMS at a Glance handout is also translated to Norwegian . Finally, thanks to Certified Trainer, Barbara L. Hernandez, the PCOMS at a Glance handout is translated to Spanish .
