For years, people have asked to be able to change the word “therapist” on the Session Rating Scale (SRS) because they identified themselves in different ways. Now it is possible with the release of SRS V.3.1. You can now either insert “The counselor’s,” “case manager’s,” or other title where “The therapist’s” used to be on third scale, or you can replace it with your name, e.g., “Barry’s approach was a good fit for me” The new versions have already been added to the English and Spanish measures with more to come. Better Outcomes Now will soon reflect this change as well. You can still use the original version that says “therapist’s” if you like. It is still included in the PCOMS Measures Packet.
